SEC Power Rankings

As we enter another week within the brutal SEC we take a look at all 14 schools and where they stand heading into week three of conference play. Heading into week three two teams have really stood out to fans across the south, the first being Ole Miss and the second being the Tennessee Volunteers. Without further ado here is an updated list of each SEC school so far in conference play.

 

1. Tennessee Volunteers: 14-1 ( 3-0) - #3

Last Week: Beat Missouri 87-63, Beat Florida 78-67

This Week: Tonight Vs Arkansas, Saturday Vs Alabama

 

2. Ole Miss Rebels: 13-2 (3-0) #18

Last Week: Beat #11 Auburn 82-67, Beat #14 Mississippi State 81-77

This Week: Tonight Vs LSU, Saturday Vs Arkansas

 

3. Auburn Tigers: 12-3 ( 1-1) #14

Last week: Lost to Ole Miss 82-67, Beat Georgia 93-78

This week: Wednesday at Texas A&M, Saturday Vs Kentucky

 

4. Kentucky Wildcats: 12-3 ( 2-1) #12

Last week: Beat Texas A&M 85-74, Beat Vanderbilt 56-47

This Week: Tonight at Georgia, Saturday at Auburn

 

5. LSU Tigers: 12-3 ( 2-0)

Last Week: Beat Alabama 88-79, Beat Arkansas 94-88

This Week: Tonight at Ole Miss, Saturday Vs South Carolina

 

6. Missississippi State Bulldogs: 12-3 (0-2) #24

Last week: Lost to South Carolina 87-82 (OT), Lost to Ole Miss 81-77

This Week: Tonight Vs Florida, Saturday at Vanderbilt

 

7. South Carolina Gamecocks: 8-7 (3-0)

Last Week: Beat Missississippi State 87-82, Beat Missouri 85-75

This Week: Wednesday at Vanderbilt, Saturday at LSU

 

8. Alabama Crimson Tide: 10-5 (1-2)

Last Week: Lost to LSU 88-79, Lost to Texas A&M 81-80

This Week: Wednesday at Missouri, Saturday at #3 Tennessee

 

9. Florida Gators: 9-6 ( 1-2)

Last Week: Beat Arkansas 57-51, Lost to #3 Tennessee 78-67

This Week: Tonight at #24 Missississippi State, Saturday at Georgia

10. Georgia Bulldogs: 9-6 (1-2)

 

11. Arkansas Razorbacks:  10-5 (1-2)

 

12. Texas A&M Aggies: 7-7. (1-2)

 

13. Missouri Tigers: 9-5 ( 0-2)

 

14. Vanderbilt Commodores: 9-6 (0-3)

 

If fans across the south have learned one thing, it is that these power rankings will change weekly within a conference as brutal as the SEC is. Life in the SEC is tough and whoever comes out on top in March will have rightfully deserved the title as SEC Champion.
